Nazaré

Nazaré is a Portuguese village, in the district of Leiria, home to the homonymous municipality with about 10 300 inhabitants. Located in the province of Extremadura integrating the Intermunicipal Community of the West in the region of the Center.

The village is the seat of a small municipality with 82.43 km² of area [1] and 15 158 inhabitants (2011), [2] [3] subdivided into 3 parishes.
The municipality is surrounded to the north, east and south by the county of Alcobaça and to the west borders with Atlantic Ocean.

Praia da Nazaré is a seaside neighborhood of one of the most traditional Portuguese fishing villages, Nazaré. With the most popular bathing beach on the west coast, in the region of the Center, where you can still find, in the sand. Some women dressed in their traditional seven-skirt outfit, tending sun-dried fish lined up on stakes.

The bathing beach, completely integrated in the urban area by the marginal house, is limited to the north by the promontory and to the south and by the mole of the harbor of shelter. Fátima is a Portuguese city located in the Serra de Aire, which is the seat of a parish, subdivision of the municipality of Ourém, in the province of Beira Litoral, in the Central region and sub-region of Middle Tagus, with 71.29 km ² of area and 11 596 inhabitants ( 2011).

Its population density is 162,7 hab / km ². Its world-wide fame is due to the report of apparitions of the Virgin Mary reported by three little shepherds from 13 of May until 13 of October of 1917.

Due to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, located in the place of the Cova of Iria, the city has become one of the most important international destinations of religious tourism, receiving about six million people a year.
